The Radical Challenge Championship offers a diverse racing weekend with buckets of track time, at an unbeatable price. Incorporating three challenge trophies – Solo Challenge, Team Challenge and 1340 Challenge – the Radical Challenge Championship is open to Radical’s SR3 models with a thrilling mix of sprint and endurance races at the UK’s leading circuits, including a festival event at Spa Francorchamps.
The championship retains its highly-popular seven round, two-day format comprising qualifying, two 50-minute endurance races and a 20-minute sprint across every weekend. The revered Brands Hatch GP layout makes a welcome return as the series supports SRO’s GT World Challenge Europe package in May, before heading to Snetterton to appear on the prestigious British GT bill.
For the first time, results will also count towards the RPE Teams’ Trophy – a title recognising the technical excellence of the competing teams. The top two cars from any team – regardless of class – will score points in each race toward the Trophy, with additional points available for pole and fastest lap.
Drivers contest one of the following challenges within the main championship, with the highest overall scoring driver/team also scooping the 2020 Radical Challenge Championship title.
The Radical Challenge championship is made up of the following classes:
Open to single drivers in the SR3, this is a fast and furious category that’s sure to be hotly contested.
The Team Challenge allows for two drivers in one car and is open to SR3 variants, ideal for Pro/Am entries or dual-Am pairings. Thanks to the popular Success Seconds system utilised by Radical throughout its endurance championships, close racing across the classes can be guaranteed!
Open to single drivers using SR3 1340 models, a cost-effective introduction to SR3 competition.
