MSVT Elise Trophy, inspired by previous similarly named Elise championships, twins the plucky UK sports car with MSVTs competitive yet fun-and-friendly power to weight class of racing.
A 25 minute qualifying session precedes two 20 minute races, all of which will take place on one day to reduce overnight costs.
Class NA - For Series 1 and 2 Elise’s, standard Series 2 111R and Exige Toyota normally aspirated engined cars, with a power to weight ratio of no more than 205bhp/tonne.
Class FI - For the Elise S3 with a power to weight ratio of no more than 200bhp/tonne.
The regulations for the championship are reasonably relaxed, so that most cars that have already been developed for track days/racing will be eligible.
- Meet the basic Motorsport UK standards for safety (check out our Guide to Motorsport UK Scrutineering Requirements)
- No more than 200 / 205 bhp per tonne dependant on class
- Minimum weight of 790kg (post race and with driver)
- Toyo R888R Control Tyre distributed via PolleySport
Aerodynamic devices are permitted, providing that the comply with the provisions set out in Appendix J of the Motorsport UK (particularly J5.20.10 & J5.20.11) in terms of fixed rear wings/diffusers and front splitters. It is implicit that these devices must be approved by the scrutineers. Active aero/DRS systems are not permitted.
