This upcoming weekend (10th/11th September 2022) is set to be an incredibly busy, but exciting, couple of days for MSVR. There’s a whole host of fantastic racing content across three of the UK’s finest circuits: Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Silverstone.
The prestigious Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit is gearing up to host the penultimate meeting of both the GB3 and GB4 Championships. Fortec Motorsport’s Joel Granfors currently leads the way in the GB3 standings with a 11.5 point lead over title rival Luke Browning, but will the standings look the same after three rounds of gripping, open-wheeled action? Elsewhere, Nikolas Taylor will be hoping to continue his impressive season for Fortec Motorsports, as he vies to become the inaugural GB4 champion. Spectators in Kent will also be treated to the penultimate round of the 2022 British GT Championship, alongside other reputable racing series.
In Cheshire, Turismo X takes centre stage of the morning’s proceedings. An initial qualifying session leads into SuperPole – an exhilarating, one timed lap shootout for the front of the grid. The format has dazzled onlookers so far this year, producing three different polesitters from the opening three races. If that excitement wasn’t enough, two high-octane Turismo X sprint races follow. Attention will then turn to the afternoon’s main event – a five-hour endurance test of the International layout, courtesy of EnduroKA. EnduroKA remains a fun and cost-effective entry point to long distance competition, with all entrants driving Mk1 Ford KAs.
Last, but by no means least, comes Equipe Classic Racing at Silverstone. A wide array of Pre ’66 historic cars will provide a load of motoring nostalgia, amongst a full timetable of enthralling ‘Gentleman Racing’. Man and machine will be at their best, as a high standard of both car preparation and driving standards are demanded. This will the final event of the 2022 for the majority of the Equipe racing programme, so expect a great showing.
