The weekend of October 8th and 9th 2022 will play host to the latest bout of MSVR Club Car Championship races at Snetterton. The action promises to be that little bit more special than usual, as it will be the season finale for a number of the championships and series in attendance.
Following the penultimate round of the season at Donington Park in September, GT Cup Championship closes its season this weekend in Norfolk, with four action-packed races scheduled across Saturday and Sunday. Simon Orange / Michael O’Brien (Orange Racing powered by JMH) have amassed a solid points lead in the overall standings, ahead of GTC Championship leaders Topcats Racing in their Lamborghini Super Trofeo and current GTH Championship leaders Valluga Racing. We look forward to seeing how each class unfolds over the course of the two days.
Snetterton’s 300 circuit will additionally provide the 2022 curtain closer for Uncle Luke’s Snetterton Saloons, with a 20-minute race proceeding a 45-minute pit-stop race on Saturday. This round will bring the end to an action-packed year for the series, which has included six, gripping rounds prior to this upcoming finale. Toyo Tires Racing Saloons will also wrap up their 2022 campaign at Snetterton, fulfilling an impressive 2022 fixture list. The series caters for approved two wheel drive, four seater saloons and sports racing cars - providing two exhilarating sprint races on Saturday to excite those in attendance.
On Sunday, it’s the turn of Z Cars Championship and Production Golf GTI Championship to wrap up their 2022 seasons. Both will feature a 15-minute qualifying session proceeding two 15-minute sprint races in competitive, single-make action. Z Cars remains the cost effective series for the E85 3.0i model, while the Production Golf GTI Championship welcomes an array of Volkswagens to the circuit. It’s Henry Riley’s MK5 VW Golf who leads the way presently and he will hope to end the season in the same form that’s put him in the prime position to win the Championship.
To add to the excitement, Pickup Truck Racing Championship and Tiedeman Trophy will be joining an already impressive race programme at Snetterton and we can’t wait for the action!
