MSVR is geared up for another superb weekend of motorsport (13th/14th August 2022). There’s plenty of action scheduled at both Brands Hatch and Oulton Park, from a variety of series and championships.
The weekend in Kent gets underway on Saturday with a whole host of exciting racing expected on the prestigious Brands Hatch GP circuit. Both Trackday Trophy and Trackday Championship return for their fifth round of the year, marking the end of their summer break. Throughout the year, spectators of both the Trophy and Championship have been treated a heap of close battling on track and we eagerly anticipate more at Brands Hatch. The Classic Touring Car Championship will also be competing, along with: Pre-83 Touring Cars and Thunder/Boss/Pre-93/Pre-03/Pre-05 and Pre-66 Touring Cars. We look forward to seeing the expected bumper-grids jostling for position throughout their respective sprint races. Notably. the Classic & Modern Motorsport Club will feature with Tin Tops and Super Saloons for this meeting.
If the Saturday on-track entertainment somehow wasn’t enough, come Sunday Brands Hatch will welcome Festival Italia. The popular event showcases the best of Italian motoring, with a stacked racing programme to boot. MSVR is delighted to once again be involved with an event that’s roster includes the likes of: Alfa Romeo Championship, Ferrari Club Racing Series and the Pierelli Ferrari Formula Classic. There’s also a F1 demonstration to look forward to!
Meanwhile, at Oulton Park, a cracker of an event is shaping up. The international circuit welcomes a total of nine races, across one day of thrilling racing. Notably, sports-prototypes from Radical will feature in no fewer than four races, including the Radical Challenge Championship - the marque's premier UK race series. The entry level SR1 Cup will also be in action, with a field of entrants hoping to make a name for themselves in slicks-and-wings competition. There will also be a pair of Clubmans Sports Prototype Cup races, plus a 50-minute Sports 2000 race ahead of a guest appearance from the Historic Sports Car Club's Classic Formula Ford Championship.
