MSVR is pleased to confirm it will resume running car race events from Saturday 4 July, in line with the recent announcement from Motorsport UK. Our first event will be the EnduroKa meeting at Snetterton on the opening weekend in July.
Clearly this has been a very difficult, totally unprecedented period for all of us, and sadly every MSVR event in April, May and June has either been cancelled or postponed due to the coronavirus. We deeply regret the disruption and inconvenience this dreadful disease has caused, and of course our thoughts are with those that have been personally affected. None of us have ever experienced anything like COVID-19 before, but thankfully we are now emerging from this crisis and all of us are excited to be returning to the sport we love.
We have worked very closely with Motorsport UK over the past few months to establish appropriate measures to enable racing to resume safely and will of course fully comply with those when we resume, along with any relevant government guidance in place at the time. Further information will be communicated in due course. It is not yet known when we will be able to allow spectators into race meetings, but we’re increasingly hopeful that the progressive relaxation of restrictions will soon permit family, friends and members of the media to attend.
We are currently in the process of finalising revised calendars for the remainder of 2020 and appreciate the patience and support we’ve received so far. This is a complicated process but we are determined to arrange the best possible calendars for all our championships and series.
We are moving forward with great positivity and very much look forward to working with all our partners, customers and colleagues once again!
