The Clubmans Register announces that from 2020 its Sports Prototype Championship will be organised by MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR). The distinctive front-engined sportscar series is a favourite with engineer-drivers and will celebrate its 55th anniversary next year.
"We look forward to becoming part of the MSVR family of racing Championships and as we look to the future, we also thank the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) for fantastic racing over the years," says Mike Evans, Clubmans Register Chairman. "Clubmans provides exciting, cost-effective racing to enthusiasts, in a friendly and supportive club culture. We are particularly proud of the increasing participation of women in our club, with class champions and race-winners in 2017, 2018 and 2019."
The Clubmans Sports Prototype Championship traces its history back to 1965 and its first race at Brands Hatch. It remains the prime championship for men and women who enjoy freedom in regulations to develop, engineer and race their surprisingly fast prototypes across 3 classes.
"We are delighted that Clubmans, with its long and successful tradition of grass roots racing, has joined our roster of championships", said Joe East, MSVR Competitions Manager. "We’re very eager to work with them and offer any support we can to help the championship thrive and prosper, and are really looking forward to getting to know their competitors and indeed watching the great racing the championship has to offer!"
The 2020 calendar offers 16 races, at 6 meetings including Brands Hatch, Donington Park and Silverstone. If you are interested in racing with Clubmans in 2020, please email email@example.com.
