MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) is pleased to announce that it will continue as the appointed sporting club responsible for the FIA Formula E London ePrix this summer. After last year’s successful inaugural event in the capital city, the 2016 event will take place on 2nd and 3rd July in Battersea Park.
Featuring all-electric racing and a fresh, modern approach the pioneering FIA Formula E championship enjoyed a successful first season in 2015. With new drivers and technological updates to the cars, the second season is already proving to be a hit with fans. Seven rounds remain in the 2016 championship, which will again reach its conclusion at its only double-header round in London.
MSVR’s responsibilities will include the provision of national event officials, technical scrutineers, medical and fire cover, plus pit and track marshals. MSVR will also organise provision of emergency and recovery vehicles.
The application process for marshals is now open via the MSVR website. The club had an excellent response last year and the success of that event was due in no small part to the hard work of the many volunteer marshals and officials.
David Scott, Race Operations Manager of MSVR, said: “Being appointed again to organise such a landmark event for a global championship is something we’re really excited about, particularly as MSVR celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. We look forward to building on the experience and lessons learned at last year’s event to make the 2016 London ePrix even bigger and better.”
Further details about the event will be released in the coming weeks and months. For enquiries relating to MSVR’s involvement at the London ePrix, please email FormulaE@msvracing.co.uk.
