Former Grand Prix driver Markus Winkelhock will return to the Blancpain GT Series in 2015, which visits Brands Hatch on 9/10 May.
Winklehock, the son of 1980s Formula 1 driver Manfred, will share a Phoenix Racing Audi R8 LMS ultra with Niki Mayr-Melnhof in the Sprint rounds, the second of which will be held at the Kent circuit. In last year's event the pairing scored a competitive fifth place finish in the opening race, before an incident delayed them in the second.
The 34-year-old German raced against several former F1 drivers in last year's event, including Paralympic hero Alex Zanardi as well as Tomas Enge, Giorgio Pantano and Andrea Montermini.
Phoenix Racing Team Director, Ernst Moser, said: "We're going to be on the grid in the sprint series with our proven driver pairing again. Niki Mayr-Melnhof and Markus Winkelhock, aiming for top spots in the championship, are set on picking up where they left off with their podium position in last year's final race at Baku."
Meanwhile series organisers SRO are predicting an increase on grid numbers this season. An increase in prize money, which now totals over 100,000 Euros, has enticed many teams to field cars in both Sprint and Endurance rounds.
The championship's entry list will be published on Wednesday 11 March and is expected to feature many of the world's best supercars from Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Porsche.
Tickets for the MSVR-organised round at Brands Hatch on 9/10 May are available from £21 with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
