The 2015 MSVR season will get underway next week (Wednesday 18th February) with the annual MSVR Media Day, with each of the club’s championships and series represented on circuit. Public admission for the day is free for fans to get an early glimpse of the cars.
The Duo BRDC Formula 4 Championship and F3 Cup Championship will both have a healthy presence, with a number of drivers expected to take advantage of the chance to test their new Pirelli tyres after their respective partnerships were announced at the Autosport International show in January. There'll be plenty more single seater action on circuit from the Monoposto Racing Club and the Formula Ford 1600 SuperSeries and Champion of Brands series.
Radical Sportscars will be out in force, with the new RXC Spyder expected to feature out on track ahead of its debut in the Radical European Masters, joined by the new SR3 RSX and the impressive little Radical SR1. After a record-breaking year in 2014, GT Cup's much-anticipated grid for 2015 will provide more on-track sportscars, and maybe even a special guest or two.
A variety of Lotus cars will be in action, with the Lotus Elise Trophy, Lotus Cup UK Speed Championship and Lotus Cup UK championships all represented. The cars are expected to include the new Exige V6 Cup R and Elise Cup R, amongst others.
MSVR's tin-top championships and series have some big grids to call on for attendees. Power Maxed MINI Challenge will have their brand new, third generation F56 race cars on track alongside the previous generation JCW and Cooper Class cars. The Toyo Tires Production BMW Championship and the Toyo Tires Racing Saloons series will have a healthy display of predominantly BMW machinery, adding to the Bavarian marque’s presence.
Under the banner of new sponsors, the MaximumGroup.net VAG Trophy will be re-launching under new ownership with an exciting 2015 season in store. There will be a handful of MSVT's assortment of saloons from the Team Trophy and Trackday Trophy on circuit during the day, and of course the unique Atom Cup cars will be taking to the Kent circuit after their foray to Barbados for the Race of Champions.
Cars will be on the circuit from approximately 11:30 until 17:00 on Wednesday 18 February.
Don’t forget to Like MSVR on Facebook and follow @MSVRacing to see some behind the scenes photos from the media day. A 2015 season preview, produced by Race Television, will be broadcast at 20:00 on Tuesday 17th March on Motors TV.
