Two-time Le Mans winner Darren Turner will make his Mini
Festival debut at Oulton Park this weekend (Saturday 12
July) when he is reunited with Swiftune's pre-66 Mini Cooper S
for the Kent Cams Cup.
This will be the second time Turner has raced the Mini Cooper S,
after competing alongside owner Nick Swift at the Goodwood Revival
Aston Martin works driver Turner will be adding his name to
a growing list of Mini Festival guest drivers - celebrity chef
James Martin, AC/DC's Brian Johnson, and rally legend Stig
Blomqvist, have all appeared in Mini Festivals held at
Brands Hatch. This weekend will be the first Oulton Park-running of
the expanded event.
Turner said: "I'm really looking forward to the Oulton Park
meeting. I've driven Nick Swift's Mini once before at the Goodwood
Revival, so when I was asked if I would like to do it again I
jumped at the chance.
"I'm a little on the back foot as I haven't driven the car for
two years and I'll go straight into qualifying at Oulton. That
