The build up to the GT Cup has got off to a fantastic start
pre-season with fifteen drivers signed up to do a full season
MSVR are delighted to see that many of these competitors are
returning such as Colin Broster, Rupert Martin, Doug Setters, Danny

With an expanded calendar of nine premium rounds, including
Brands Hatch GP, Silverstone Arena GP, Spa Francorchamps and the
new Snetterton 300 circuit, demand for the Championship is sure to
Marc Haynes, Managing Director of Bute Motorsport said: "Demand
for the GT Cup is at its highest level since the Championship
started four years ago. Entry forms for the GT Trophy are yet to be
released but interest in the series has been huge and the forms are
set to be released in the next few days.
There are going to be some exciting new cars turning up to the
grid, we are hoping to get the new Ferrari 458 out early in the
year. It also looks like we are going to have a really nice mix of
returning competitors, those returning after a year's break, and
those that are completely new to the Championship.
Pirelli have developed some great new tyres for us in 2011 and
are putting in place new arrangements for technical support, even
including a UK based GT Cup/Trophy technician. They have also
invested in new tyre fitting machines and are bringing out a new
rear tyre for the Porsche 996.
With another round added to the calendar, we are eagerly
anticipating a very competitive year and are looking forward to as
close a finish as we saw in 2010."
