The 2020 Ducati Performance TriOptions Cup features the new Panigale V2, the latest generation of Ducati ‘middleweight’ Superbikes that has featured in this championship over the last ten years.
The Panigale V2 is powered by the 955 cm³ Superquadro engine delivering more power (+5 hp) and more torque (+2 Nm) than the previous model with a maximum power of 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm.
New features include a single-sided swingarm, a new fairing design, an exhaust with an extremely compact under-engine silencer and single-side end pipe. Chassis modifications improve agility and fine-tuning of the suspension hydraulic setting improve comfort for road use,
Now Euro 5 compliant, the 955 cm³ Superquadro engine remains true to its nature: user-friendly on the road yet powerful and engaging on the track. The new electronics package raises active safety and dynamic control standards by adding the cornering function to the ABS, upgrading the quickshift so it now covers down-changes and including traction control, engine brake control and wheelie control.
This useable power combined with sublime handling and limited changes to the standard motorcycle has encouraged close racing, relative affordability and enduring popularity amongst both riders and spectators over the last ten years. The high quality and competitiveness of the field has led to riders stepping successfully up to other classes.
The Ducati Cup will again be sponsored by Ducati TriOptions, the brand name for Ducati Personal Contract Purchase.
Ducati Performance is the brand name for promoting official Ducati accessories many of which will be seen on the bikes racing on track and are also available to purchase through the Ducati dealer network.
