MSVR's Lotus Elise Trophy joins the London New Year parade

A global audience of over 240 million people see the festivities

The MSVR-organised Lotus on Track Elise Trophy series took to the global stage on New Year's Day by taking part in the London New Year Parade.

Over half a million spectators joined a global television audience of 240 million people to see the cars take to the nation's capital. Some of the leading lights in the series took part in the parade including Mark Gooday who secured victory in the final round of the 2009 season in a Lotus 2-Eleven. Matt Bartlett and Peter Trott joined Gooday along the route between Piccadilly and Parliament Square.

In 2009 the series experienced capacity grids at every round, accompanying such high-profile events such as A1GP. The series also produced some of the closest racing of any series in the UK. 2010 is set to follow on from the success of the 2009 series with a full calendar of races due to be announced shortly.
