The Formula Palmer Audi Championship gets underway this weekend
(8/9 May) at Brands Hatch, as an international field of young
talents go head-to-head for the biggest prize in British
motorsport.
The 2010 FPA champion will receive a £100,000 scholarship
prize towards a drive in the 2011 FIA Formula Two Championship,
with the top six each earning an F2 test drive.
Frenchman Maxime Jousse and former British F3 racer Aaron Steele
have led the way during winter testing, but teenage sports car
sensation Nigel Moore - making his single seater debut this season
- has also featured towards the top of the timesheets.
Other podium contenders include Spaniard Jose Alonso Liste and
Britons Ash Davies and Howard Fuller - all of whom return for a
second FPA season in 2010 - along with series newcomer, Dutch
Formula Ford ace Melroy Heemskerk.
Formula Palmer Audi will be joined by a packed programme of support
races from the Classic Sports Car Club Championships including the
Jaguar Saloon Championship, CSCC Tin Tops and Magnificent
Sevens.
