MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) arrives at Oulton Park this
Saturday, (8 August), with the GAZ Shocks Production BMW series
taking centre stage.
Having joined MSVR this season, the GAZ Shocks Production BMW
series is a one-make championship promoting enjoyable, safe and
affordable racing. This has helped the series to grow and develop
into one of the most popular saloon car categories in the UK.
Saturday will be the final round of the championship and arriving
at the Cheshire circuit, Rob Smith is the favourite to take the
title. With four wins this season, Smith has been one of the
quickest and most consistant drivers this year. There are three
drivers who can still beat Smith, with Liam Crilly best placed to
capitalize on any mistakes. Crilly has only won one race this
season but his consistant podium finishes through the year means he
is only 26 points behind Smith with 60 points available in the two
races on Saturday. Tony Smith and Mike Dugdale are the two other
drivers who could still take the crown.
Alongside the GAZ Shocks Production BMW championship there will be
racing from Silhouettes, Sports & Sports Racing, Toyo Tires
Racing Saloons and the Northern Saloon and Sportscar
Championship.
