Leon Camier secured his maiden MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship in association with Pirelli title at Silverstone after winning the opening race of the day, with team-mate James Ellison finishing second.
Camier has amassed a record-breaking 17 wins so far this season, with four races still remaining for the Airwaves Yamaha team and both him and the squad are now celebrating GSE Racing's fifth championship crown.
Camier said: "I really don't know what to make of it all to be honest, it is such a big moment for me to win the title. That was one of the hardest races of the season for me and there were some places that I was a bit out of control, which everyone could see, as I was pushing so hard. I tried a couple of passes but they just didn't work but I knew I had to keep on trying. I need to thank everyone who has supported me and hopefully I can finish race two on a high with another win before we go to Oulton Park."
