This weekend (25/26 October) some of the UK's top young racing drivers will go head-to-head in the opening round of the 2008 Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy at Brands Hatch.
Organised by MSVR, the Autumn Trophy is a six race competition, three of which will take place at the Kent circuit. The 22 drivers taking part will be hoping to make a strong start ahead of the second part of the contest at Snetterton, Norfolk on 1/2 November.
A host of high profile names have signed up for the Autumn Trophy, including British F3 and A1GP Team Ireland driver Niall Quinn: "I'm looking forward to the Autumn Trophy, the amount of track time you get over the two weekends is great. It will also be good to compare myself alongside those that are also going for the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award," he said.
Other drivers taking part include Spanish F3 Championship racer Alex Waters, Formula Renault Eurocup driver Tobias Hegewald and double British Kart TKM Champion Matt Bell.
Several drivers from the main 2008 FPA Championship will also be competing, including title runner-up Tom Bradshaw, top rookie Adam Foster and Surrey driver Jack Clarke - who will be hoping to better the third place he achieved in last year's Autumn Trophy contest.
As well as the FPA Autumn Trophy, there will also be support race action from the inaugural SCS Vee Festival at Brands Hatch this weekend.
