Swan Combi 50 Roll for Pole new format set for sparks to fly


This weekend sees a new format for Bennetts British Superbike Swan Combi 50 Roll for Pole. Qualifying will be based on the current Formula One qualifying and see pole position being decided by three separate sessions.

The first session (Q1) will be 25 minutes, all riders will be on track setting their best times to ensure that they are in the top 20 and allow them to progress to qualifying 2 (Q2). Those finishing 21st and above will be filtered out and take their positions for the race based on their best times in this session.

Q2 of 15 minutes will see twenty riders fighting for ten positions to advance to Q3. This session will require the ultimate set up, confidence and a little bit of luck. Those finishing 11th and above will be eliminated and take up there grid positions based on Q2 results.

Qualifying 3 (Q3) the top 10 for 10 minutes, the track will light up with the top ten battling it out for the pole position lap.
