Entries are now officially open for the 2008 Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy, which will take place at Brands Hatch Indy Circuit on 25/26 October and Snetterton on 1/2 November.
Since its inception, the Autumn Trophy has attracted some of the most talented young drivers from the UK and beyond. Past competitors have included FIA World Touring Car Championship drivers Andy Priaulx and Rob Huff and GP2 driver Adam Carroll.
The format allows drivers to compete in a six-race championship in a prestigious single seater category for under ten thousand pounds.
In addition to competing for overall honours, the Autumn Trophy also incorporates the FPA Shootout at Snetterton, which proved a huge success on its 2007 debut. The winner of this shootout is automatically shortlisted for the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award, following in the footsteps of last year's winner Nick Tandy, who progressed into the British F3 International Series in 2008 following his nomination.
As all Formula Palmer Audi vehicles are built to identical specification, the Autumn Trophy and FPA Shootout provide a unique level playing field for drivers to prove their ability. There are 22 places to be filled in 2008 and extra testing is available on Friday 24 October at Brands Hatch and Friday 31 October at Snetterton.
Entries for the 2008 Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy at Brands Hatch on 25/26 October featuring the FPA Shootout at Snetterton on 1/2 November cost £9,950 + VAT. Additional testing costs from £1,000 + VAT per day. For more information contact Chris Dredge on 01234 332439.
