The GT Cup
The GT Cup is the fourth addition to MSVR's portfolio - a brand new series that features two 30 minute sprint races across eight race meetings at some of Britain's finest racetracks.
The format is aimed at Cup-class GTs, and is designed to encourage amateur drivers to race, either as a step up from club motorsport or a stepping stone up the GT racing ladder.
A one-off event was held at Snetterton on 3/4 November 2007 to huge acclaim, attracting 24 entries and an exciting line-up that included Ferrari 360s, Porsche 996s and a TVR Cerbera. The race meeting provided the opportunity to discuss a number of ideas for the 2008 season, and the discussions have led to a race format and calendar that should have huge appeal to the sports car community.
MSVR is currently working closely with series founder Marc Haynes, of the Haynes International Motor Museum, on series regulations and are thrilled to be involved with this exciting new venture.
