The GT Cup
The GT Cup had a tremendously successful inaugral season in 2008. With a fantastic calendar for 2009 the GT Cup looks set for another exciting season.
Bute Motorsport has been busy building on the success of the GT Cup’s first season and have put together with the assistance of MSVR an unrivalled 2009 series. The fundamental strengths of the GT Cup will be retained whilst several new developments will help take the GT Cup further forward.
The aim being to provide the best GT racing available anywhere whilst providing the best deal for competitors.
The format is aimed at Cup-class GTs, and is designed to encourage amateur drivers to race, either as a step up from club motorsport or a stepping stone up the GT racing ladder.
Each race meeting will have two 25 minute races with free practice at most rounds in addition to qualifying. The 2009 season includes eight premier rounds at some of the best circuits in the UK including Brands Hatch GP (Supporting A1GP), Donington GP (Supporting FIA Formula Two), Silverstone International Circuit and Knockhill (100 km race).
