How to become a racing driver

Anyone can become a racing driver and go racing!

To register for the ARDS course you must order your Go Racing Pack (see www.clubmsv.co.uk/goracingpack). This pack includes all the information you need in order to become a racing driver. Most importantly, enclosed within the pack is the medical form that must be signed by your doctor.

Once you have completed your medical you can book an ARDS test (www.clubmsv.co.uk/ards). This can be done at all of MotorSport Vision's top UK circuits. They include Brands Hatch, Oulton Par, Cadwell Park, Snetterton and Bedford Autodrome.

The ARDS National B test includes the following:

  • Welcome introduction
  • Tuition video
  • Briefing - what to expect at your first race, safety issues and the ARDS course details
  • Written tests
  • A 30 minute circuit driving evaluation
  • De-brief

Go Racing with MSVR

Please check our 'Latest News' section on this website for information on races you can enter. MSVR will be holding a number of National B-level Open Sports/Sports Racing races at some of the UK's top motor racing circuits in 2008.

Marshalling

Marshals remain an integral part of any race meeting, and MSVR is enormously grateful for all the assistance and support we've received over the past few seasons.

Marshalling at race meetings provide a number of fantastic opportunities to get involved in motorsport at any level, from club racing through to major international events like DTM or the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport.
