The MINI CHALLENGE has become firmly established as one of the most important single make championships in the UK thanks to its combination of class structure, cost effectiveness and professionalism. New for 2017, the MINI CHALLENGE is now on the British GT and BRDC British Formula 3 package.
The MINI brand brings a high level of public awareness to the championship and, to the astute aspiring race driver, it can be considered as a direct route to the BTCC.
For those new to racing it offers a sensible entry level class with high end support and technical back up to get you racing. There is a clear development path within the CHALLENGE for drivers to develop to their full potential.
2015 was a landmark year for the championship. The latest, third generation F56 car was introduced complete with bespoke aero and a brand new 2.0l turbocharged engine. The F56 shared grids with the existing JCW (R56) class cars, and is the top tier of the three-level MINI CHALLENGE stucture.
2017 will mark the 16th anniversary of the MINI CHALLENGE, and the sixth season under the MSVR banner. This year the F56 cars will have exclusive grids, with up to 30 cars expected.
