The British GT and BRDC British F3 Championships will roar into Snetterton this weekend (26-27 May) for a double-header of supercars and future F1 stars!
The double-header of hour-long races for the British GT Championship will thrill on Sunday, and look like being a set of humdingers with just half a point separating the top two teams.
It has already been a historic year for the series, with Flick Haigh becoming the first woman in the series to take an overall race win at the season-opener at Oulton Park. The Aston Martin driver has been a regular at the front all season with her co-driver Jonny Adam, but it's the Mercedes pairing of Lee Mowle and Yelmer Buurman who head the standings after the Rockingham two-hour contest. With a packed grid featuring Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bentleys and McLarens among others, this is one of the most spectacular racing line-ups in Europe.
Meanwhile there will be three contests for the international line-up of the BRDC British F3 Championship. 'Viking warriors' Linus Lundqvist and Nicolai Kjaergaard are the current top two, with the Scandinavians separated by just 11 points. However, there's a strong British contingent headed by Ginetta Junior Champion Tom Gamble who have all shown well, including the incredible Billy Monger, who continues to astound on his racing comeback. Jordan Cane and Jamie Chadwick are other Brits to keep an eye on, and both are keen for their first win of the year with the Douglas Motorsport team.
A packed support race package including MINI CHALLENGE, Volkswagen Racing Cup, Ginetta GRDC and G40 Cup, and the Northern Saloon and Sports Car Championship will ensure there's plenty of extra action.
