The Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship in association in MSVR is delighted to announce the full 2017-18 provisional calendar, complete with dates, following calendar approval from the MSA. The exciting eight-round provisional calendar, takes in seven of the country’s finest racing circuits across the UK, including a first-ever trip to Scotland.
The Championship will feature rounds at seven of the country’s finest racing circuits across the UK, including all four of MotorSport Vision’s venues, with the addition of three other UK circuits including a first-ever trip to Knockhill in Scotland.
For the third year running the Championship kick-offs at Oulton Park with the Neil Howard Stages in association with Graham Coffey & Co. Solicitors. Held at the beginning of November the season favourite will encompass a full 55 miles of action combined with a fantastic bonfire and firework spectacular. After a two-week break, the Championship makes the first of two visits to Cadwell Park, before heading to Scotland in December for a first-ever visit to Knockhill.
January sees us once again visit Brands Hatch, with Chelmsford Motor Club once again putting on the Brands Hatch Stages. Snetterton follows in February, before a double header in March, as the championship visits Donington at the start of the month and Anglesey at the end. The season ender is the second trip to Cadwell Park, with Border Motor Club putting on the Alan Healy Memorial Cadwell Stages to bring an end to what will hopefully be a tightly contested championship.
Championship Co-Ordinator Darren Spann commented: “We are delighted to have put together such a fantastic third year provisional calendar. We’ve retained the events that have truly made this championship a great spectacle for spectators and competitors alike, and expended it into Scotland, making it a truly national championship.
MSVR Race Operations Manager, David Scott said: “The Championship is going from strength to strength. Now entering its third year the support the Championship enjoys from competitors, industry, media and marshals is rewarding.
The 2017–2018 calendar is strong and retains the venues so popular with the competitors.”
In another new move for 2017-18, for the first-time ever you can watch live coverage of all eight rounds live on the internet, as Special Stage TV will stream live coverage, complete with commentary from Paul Woodford, live on their Facebook page, allowing you to keep up-to-date with the happenings on the circuit from anywhere in the UK.
