Brands Hatch GP
Brands Hatch has gone football crazy as Superleague Formula by
Sonangol makes its Grand Prix circuit debut this weekend (31 July/1
August).
Football-themed motorsport series Superleague Formula is the
fastest event on the Brands Hatch calendar, featuring a fleet of
V12-powered single seaters representing top international football
clubs.
Among the teams competing this weekend are Tottenham Hotspur -
based less than 30 miles from Brands Hatch - with Driver Craig
Dolby, who is on a charge after losing his standings lead to AC
Milan's Yelmer Buurman last time out at Zolder, Belgium.
You can also cheer along Liverpool FC's James Walker, who will be
going head-to-head with drivers including ex-F1 pilot Narain
Karthikeyan (PSV Eindhoven) and Virgin F1 reserve driver Andy
Soucek (Sporting Clube de Portugal), last year's Formula Two
champion.
Superleague Formula will also feature a superb support race
programme including powerful Group C sportscars, the GT Cup
Championship, Lotus Cup Europe and Formula Junior.
